Through dozens of generous donations and fund-raising events, The Jeremy Alex Fund has raised more than $120,000 and continues to grow through the support of the community.

On May 10, 2007, recent recipients of The Jeremy Alex Fund, Ben Froelich and Nicholas DeMulder, expressed their extreme gratitude to the Portsmouth Rotary Club and The Jeremy Alex Fund for their generosity.

Nick DeMulder, with assistance from the Fund, was able to attend a life-changing trip to Coast Rice with other members of the Spanish Club. The generosity touched him, and through the experience gained a better appreciation for family.

Due to assistance from the fund, Ben was able to go to Sweeden with the hockey team. The financial assistance from the fund was the deciding factor for each student and their ability to attend their respective trips.

2006-2007 Jeremy Alex Funded Activities/Programs

With your help, The Jeremy Alex Fund can generously fund worthy causes in aiding at-risk youths in the seacoast area and beyond on an annual basis. Below are just a few of the programs The Jeremy Alex Fund has supported in the last year:

  • Portsmouth Schools Chess Club
    Jeremy had a passion for chess, and to help keep his passion alive, the Jeremy Alex Fund plans to purchase dozens of chessboards and time clocks to be shard in all Portsmouth Schools. A student/rotarian chess challenge was also given birth.
  • 'Portsmouth Plus' Homework Club
    A generous donation was earmarked toward the activities and support of the Portsmouth Middle School Homework Club including materials and supplies to the large number of students who attend the club on a daily basis.
  • Individual student funding of Costa Rica trip
    Due to the potential positive impact on the individual, the vast majority of the trip cost was donated on behalf of The Jeremey Alex Fund.
  • Seacoast Outright
    The Jeremy Alex Fund made a donation to Seacoast Outright to sponsor their 'Xpress Yourself' dance.
